International Workshop on Metadata Standards for Palm Leaf Manuscripts
The goal of the workshop was to enable deliberations and presentations on the Metadata Standards for Palm Leaf Manuscripts, in order to facilitate user access to and use of the knowledge recorded on palm leaf manuscripts (PLMs) as effectively as possible.
This helped in formulating the schema that served as a standard information structure for cataloging and managing Palm Leaf Manuscripts specifically, and other digitized ancient artifacts in general, from both an access and preservation perspective.
